Organisational Management (OM)
SAP functionality for Organisational Management (OM) is core in the smartHR solution and is used to model your organisation and depict internal relationships and responsibilities, such as who is manager of whom, who approves travel expenses, who performs performance reviews etc.
OM is also the core component used in granting authorisation of SAP functionality in the structured authorisations. Under this concept, a leader with a managerial role can view or report on all direct reports, as well as on all the reports of employees reporting directly to this person.
OM is also used by the travel expense and time modules to define approver workflows.
OM enhances understanding of positions and jobs. Positions can be defined with associated competency requirements and other descriptors. These in turn can be used to set competency requirements on a position level, including for open positions.
All OM related information supports and requires valid date ranges.
